Privacy policy
This policy covers watchroute.com. Watchroute is a web design and internet marketing studio run online from Brisbane by Andrew. The Spring Hill address is a virtual office used for post, not a place of business. It is written to be read rather than to be long.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form: your name, your email address, your phone number if you choose to give it, and whatever you write in the message field. The phone number is optional and the form works without it.
If you play one of the games, the game also sends us technical details about that play session: which game, how long you played and your score or progress in it, what kind of device and browser you used, which page referred you, and a random id generated in your browser so repeat sessions from the same device can be counted. This does not include your name, your email address, or anything else that identifies you, and it is separate from anything you type into the enquiry form.
We do not ask for payment details, identity documents or anything else sensitive through this website, and you should not send them to us by email either.
Why we collect it
To reply to your enquiry and, if we end up working together, to run that work. That is the whole purpose. We do not sell it, rent it, or share it with anyone for marketing.
Advertising and measurement
We advertise on Google. If you arrived from one of our ads, Google may set cookies of its own and may be told that an enquiry was submitted, so that we can tell which advertising is worth continuing. That signal does not include the contents of your message. We do not currently advertise on social platforms, and if that changes this page changes with it.
The games at watchroute.com/games also carry advertising, served by Google AdSense. This makes us a publisher as well as an advertiser: Google and its certified ad technology partners may set cookies and use device or browser identifiers to select which ad to show you and to measure how it performed. Where you have given consent, those ads may be personalised to you; where you have not, or where personalised advertising is not permitted in your region, you are still shown an ad, just not one chosen using your own browsing history. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you will be asked for your consent through a message Google itself provides and certifies before any such cookie is set.
You can control advertising cookies in your browser settings, through the privacy controls of the platform you came from, and through Google's own ad settings at adssettings.google.com. A fuller explanation of how Google uses information from sites and apps that use its services, including AdSense, is published by Google at policies.google.com/technologies/partner-sites. The site and the games work normally with advertising cookies blocked.
Where it goes
The form submits to a hosted endpoint which forwards it to our email. The site itself is served by Cloudflare Pages. Both are overseas providers, so your enquiry may be processed outside Australia.
How long we keep it
Enquiries stay in our email. If nothing comes of it and you would rather we did not keep yours, ask and we will delete it.

- Ask us to correct it if it is wrong
- Ask us to delete it
- Ask us to stop contacting you, which we will do the same day
Email through the contact page and say which of those you want. There is no form to fill in and no reason given is required.
Children
This is a business to business site and is not directed at children.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. We do not keep an archive of previous versions, so if the current one matters to you, keep a copy.
